Feb 21, 2012 - Presumably, the world that burst through the window opened by the scentists was perpetually shrouded in mist, a kind of nightmarish, hellish place, but the ending leaves questions; did the portal close by itself, or perhaps, the overlap of both worlds only had a limited timespan. The ironic ending works for the movie, what looks like bad acting on Thomas Jane's part, is really a disoriented person, awakening from what seems like a nightmare, having just murdered 4 innocent people..
